The Chinese Educational Research Association (CERA) is delighted to announce the CERA 10th Anniversary conference on “Empowering Education in the Digital Age: Reflections on the Last Decade and Future Directions”. Over the past decade, the rapid advancement of digital technologies and the continuous expansion of digital media platforms have not only influenced the lives and identities of learners and educators but have also profoundly transformed educational practices and research methods. This conference aims to provide a platform for scholars, educators, and policymakers to reflect on the role of education in the constantly evolving digital society. Our objective extends beyond merely examining the potential of technological advancements, such as AI, in shaping the future of education. We aim to foster in-depth discussions on the evolution of educational practices, policies, and systems, understanding the experiences and identities of learners and educators in the digital age, and the broader landscape of educational development and change.

CERA contributes to the critical research and discussion of Chinese Education in its broadest sense. We offer a platform for scholars, early-career professionals, students, and other interested academics to share their views and actively participate in debates.
